Social, Emotional & Mental Health

My Child requires Emotional or Mental Health Support

Difficulties in this domain often create a barrier to learning, even if the child has good cognitive abilities.Children requiring social, emotional and/or mental health support may experience a wide range of difficulties, which can present themselves in very different ways. Students can have attendance issues, be disruptive in class, hyperactive, they may lack concentration, or they can act withdrawn, thus effectively isolating themselves from others. Usually these "symptoms" are an exhibit of underlying Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH). More common disorders are Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), though in some cases this behaviour can be an indication of anxiety, depression, substance misuse or eating disorders.
