About the Academy

I am delighted to welcome you to The Oxford Academy website.
The Oxford Academy provides an outstanding learning environment for all the communities we serve: The Leys, Rose Hill and Littlemore.
We believe that by enabling everyone to reach their full potential, we will prepare our young people to make real choices about the rest of their lives, whether through further or higher education, or the world of work.
We have high expectations of our students – of their behaviour, their attitude, their presentation and their punctuality. We have high expectations of your family and the support you are able to give to help us to achieve our goals for your child. In return we will make a commitment to you to provide a quality educational experience and to raise standards. Substantial resources are being made available to develop an exciting and stimulating programme of activities to benefit students and families both before and after Academy hours.
Our specialisms in Maths & ICT and Sport will ensure that while offering a broad and balanced curriculum, there will also be emphasis on these subjects and students will benefit from specialist teaching as well as from the academic and vocational curriculum. Our specialisms provide tremendous opportunities to link with a range of projects in the area, providing students with opportunities to develop confidence, understanding, experience and skills.
The Academy is sponsored by the Church of England through the Oxford Diocesan Board of Education together with Oxford Brookes University and the Beecroft Trust and we educate students aged 11-19.
Underpinned by Christian values and a moral purpose informing day-to-day practice, we are open to all young people of any faith or no faith across Oxford. Ours is an Academy that will exceed your expectations from the outset and truly give your child the best possible start in life.
Our approach is one of a culture of achievement where all believe “we can do it” and positive mindsets are embedded into the ethos of the Academy, but the true quality of what we offer now and in the future can only be judged by visiting us and seeing for yourselves.
