Sport Specialism

Our specialism in Sport will ensure that while offering a broad and balanced curriculum, students will benefit from specialist teaching as well as from the academic and vocational curriculum.  Sport provides tremendous opportunities for students to develop confidence, understanding, experience and skills. 

Our specialist status in Sport enables us to offer students a whole host of exciting opportunities including trips to famous football stadiums such as Wembley, Old Trafford and Preston North End. We have also been fortunate enough to welcome a number of sporting heroes into the Academy for a range of programmes and initiatives such as the London WASPS team and Alex Danson, international hockey player.

One of the most exciting outcomes of the specialism has been our partnership with Oxford United. In 2007 we launched the Oxford United Academy which combines coaching, matches and football development with academic skills and lessons. The football Academy has proved hugely popular and has generated national interest.
