SEND

Every Child, every chance, every day.

Introduction from the SENCo

Welcome to the Special Education Needs and Disability Department (SEND) at The Oxford Academy.

Here at TOA we believe in the abilities of each and every one of our students. To help them achieve their full potential, our large team of experts of experts provide a wide range of interventions to suit the specific needs of each individual student, as well as helping them in their day to day lessons.

Our department has grown thanks to the hard work and incredible results of both students and staff members alike. Our SEND students achieve the highest Value Added within the school, and our students make above the national average progress in both English and Maths.

In this section of the website you can learn more about the different need types, their implications, and what we as a school can do to help. Take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions page to find answers to the most common problems you as parents or guardians might face. If you have a specific question or concern, you can get in touch with me or members of our team by submitting our Questions/Concerns form on the SEND Contact page.

Our team will work tirelessly to ensure that your child achieves above and beyond their potential.

I hope to meet you soon,

Katherine Radcliffe SENCo
