Pegasus Theatre Performance

Eleven Year 7 students from the Gifted and Talented Academy programme have been working with Taryn Storey from Pegasus Theatre once a week on scripting and performing their own plays.

The starting point of each play was a body found on the ground.  It was then up to students to decide how it got there and if it was dead or not.  Earlier in June, the students visited Pegasus Theatre to rehearse before an audience. The artistic director from the theatre then gave each group feedback on their scripts. Students came up with original ideas that were carefully structured and contained powerful monologues, they thoroughly enjoyed themselves and several have expressed an interest in pursuing the arts as a future career.
