Main Receptionist

Job Start: September 2019

Salary: Grade: 6 (NJC Pay Rates) £19,945 to £22,021 pa pro-rata (actual salary £17,145 to £18,929 pa) plus overtime of 6 hours 45 minutes a week.

 

Hours and Work Pattern: 37 per week (Monday to Friday 07.15 to 15.15) however we would ideally like the candidate to work till 16:30 for which we would pay overtime at the employed hourly rate.

Contract Type: Permanent – term time plus 5 INSET days (working 40 weeks), paid 44.70 weeks per year

Candidates should be organised and self-motivated and will need to be a good communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills and good IT skills.

 

Reception is a key position and the post holder will be required to interact with staff, students and visitors at all levels as well as being able to deal authoritatively but sensitively with a range of issues affecting children, parents and outside agencies.

 

Other necessary qualities include confidentiality, efficiency and being able to work on your own initiative and under pressure with a willingness to contribute to the continued improvement of service to the community.

We are looking to appoint a Safeguarding Officer who is highly organised, emotionally resilient and able to prioritise a conflicting workload.  Experience of working within an educational setting is desirable but not essential.  The successful candidate will need to have a good knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding procedures and must be a clear and effective communicator and have the ability to build and sustain appropriate relationships and manage personal and professional boundaries with children and young people. 

 

This role requires the successful candidate to possess a full clean driving license and be a car owner with availability to use their car in work.  There will be the need to adjust working hours to suit the needs and demands of the school which will include attending evening and early morning meetings.

Contract Type: Permanent – term time only, paid 43.55 weeks per year

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of a Cover Supervisor at The Oxford Academy.  A Good school with Outstanding Leadership Management and Professional Development following and ranked in the top 0.2% of schools nationally and where behaviour in and around the school is positive.

 

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, efficient, flexible, friendly and reliable person to cover short term absence of teaching staff, taking sole charge of a group of students. Students will learn by carrying out work prepared by the classroom teacher as directed by the Cover Supervisor.  The primary focus will be to maintain good order and keep students on task.

 

Invigilating at exam times will also be a requirement of this role.

The Oxford Academy is seeking to appoint a Teaching & Learning Assistant to work within our Inclusion Department for which support is needed to accompany a student to classes for which a wheelchair will need to be pushed.

The Inclusion Department is enthusiastic and committed to the belief that every child, irrespective of background or learning need, can succeed.  

 

We believe that our students can and should achieve well academically and we work hard to ensure this happens.

The department is well structured and rapidly growing.  Year groups have an Inclusion Manager to oversee the progress of students.  This progress is supported by Teaching & Learning Assistants and SEN teachers.

As a Teaching & Learning Assistant you would work closely with the SEN Coordinator, Inclusion Managers, SEN teachers and other TLAs and Apprentice TAs in the department.

Duty Assistant      

Community Facilities based at The Oxford Academy

Hours:                 Casual

Grade:                 3 (NJC rates) Point 3          

Salary:                 £17,711 - £18,065 pa (hourly rate £9.18 to £9.36 plus holiday pay)                  

This is an all-year-round post

 

We are recruiting for passionate individuals to be part of a team who can deliver front of house customer service and be responsible for all facility operations during their shift.

 

OX4 offers an extensive range of indoor and outdoor facilities within the Oxford Academy to include sports pitches, a sports dome with 3G pitch, floodlit AstroTurf and MUGA’s, hall hire, classroom and function rooms. 

As a specialist sports Academy, we recognise the importance and benefits of providing participation and sporting opportunities to the community and therefore operate these facilities outside of Academy hours as a commercial venture.

Although not essential applicants will have some knowledge and experience in the leisure industry, ideally experience in the fitness environment and or customer service environment.  They will hold a current valid First Aid certificate or be prepared to undergo the relevant training.

 

This role requires a degree of flexibility in terms of hours as the applicant will be expected to work evenings and weekends within the range of:

           

Evenings:                  Mondays to Friday 16:30 – 22.30

Weekends:               Saturday and Sunday 09:00 - 21:00
