Windale to represent the City at County Finals
Windale Primary school will represent Oxford at the County Athletics Finals after coming second to seven other primary schools in the City Athletics Finals on the 20 January 2012.
Windale Primary has a club link set up with the Oxford Academy and for the last three terms, over 20 pupils have been attending weekly training sessions, designed to help develop key athletics skills.
The Academy focuses on a range of field and track events to help give the children the best chance of progressing. This has had a massive impact on their performance in the finals, allowing them to dominate the track events.
The final results for the top five schools were as follows:
Primary School Name |
Points |
| 1st Windmill | 67 |
| 2nd Windale | 75 |
| 3rd St John Fisher | 79 |
| 4th SS Phil and Jim | 97 |
| 5th EOPS | 127 |
Congratulations to both Windmill and Windale Primary schools, who will represent the City at the County Finals event at Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre on 29th March.
