Golfing at The Academy

 Six students selected from the Academy’s golf team were selected to represent the Academy in the annual School Sport Partnership Golf Competition held at Studley Wood golf course on the 14 June. Those students were: Harry Wainwright, Bailey Crooks from Year 7, Charlie Lovegrove, Lucy Disley from Year 8, Liam Witherwick and team captain George Lovegrove. We had some great individual scores despite the tricky, long course, not made any easier due to the heat, the team came 3^rd behind two experienced Lord Williams school teams. We will hope to keep training going and gain more experience of match play to develop the team further and produce an even stronger team for next year. It was a fantastic afternoon and a real pleasure to see our students performing well.
